With CCS technology, CarbonCuts can help Denmark reach its national climate targets: a 70% reduction in CO₂ emissions by 2030 (compared to 1990 levels).

With the goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2045 and achieving negative emissions by 2050, Denmark must reduce CO₂ emissions by 110%. This makes carbon capture and storage crucial.

CarbonCuts is exploring the potential to establish an onshore CO₂ storage facility on Lolland (Project Ruby).

Storing carbon dioxide deep underground rather than emitting it - will reduce climate-damaging emissions - in line with Denmark's and the Paris Agreement's goal of slowing global warming.
